The Problem:
The homeless & food insecure population is ever-growing across the globe, to tackle this problem, one of the NGO is partnering with various restaurants and supermarkets to donate good unused food. The NGO is a network of volunteers who currently use an excel sheet to assign various participating restaurants and are coordinating over phone calls among themselves and the businesses to pick-up food.
The homeless & food insecure population is ever-growing across the globe, to tackle this problem, one of the NGO is partnering with various restaurants and supermarkets to donate good unused food. The NGO is a network of volunteers who currently use an excel sheet to assign various participating restaurants and are coordinating over phone calls among themselves and the businesses to pick-up food.
Lastly, the food drop-off at various food banks that the NGO has partnered with is chaotic as volunteers frequently end up at the wrong drop-off location.
Steps towards the solutions:
We are building a platform, where a volunteer finds the nearest food donor to accept pick of the leftover food and connects with the right needy food banks to deliver the same. So it helps to increase accuracy in delivering the food to the right needy location.
